The latest national influenza data released Friday accounts for the period of Jan. 4 to Jan. 10 and shows the number of new flu cases is on the decline.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said around one in three (32.9 per cent) of influenza tests came back positive for the week ending Dec. 27, 2025.
